40th Cambridge Beer Festival Wine List

This list is a hopefully accurate record of the wines that were served at the festival.

  • Giffords Hall Vineyard Suffolk Giffords Hall Bacchus ?.?% Aromatic gooseberry and elderflower notes.
  • Madeleine Angevine 2011 ?.?% A white from an early ripening grape with a very delicate and floral character.
  • Pinot Noir Estate selection 2011 ?.?% Blended with Domfelder, Accolon and Rondo. Velvet soft and fruit.
  • Rosé 2010 ?.?% Madeleine Angevine & Rondo. White peach and roses, crisp but concentrated.
  • Mersea Island Vineyard Essex Island Blush ?.?% A limited edition, dry, "Pink" wine. Made from a blend of our white grapes which has then been fermented on the skins of our Pinot Meunier grapes to produce this delightful wine. Crisp, refreshing, full of fruit flavour, it is easy drinking and will compliment a whole range of foods.
  • Mersea Mehala ?.?% A dry white wine, bursting with full aroma and the flavour of elderflower. Ideal as an aperitif or to serve with fish or white meats. Made from our Ortega grapes
  • Mersea Sparkling ?.?% A fruity Brut sparkling wine, made using the traditional method. An excellent celebration or party wine. A blend of our Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Reichensteiner grapes.
  • Summer Days ?.?% A medium dry white wine, with a small amount of residual grape sugar, making this wine easy drinking on any occasion. Made from our Muller Thurgau grapes.
  • New Hall Vineyard Essex Chardonnay ?.?% Young dry white wine with a medium full body with a clean, fresh finish.
  • Pinot Grie – Tokay ?.?% A late harvest medium wine with soft, rich mineral undertones.
  • Pinot Noir Rosé ?.?% Fruity and refreshing, with a smooth easy-drinking style

  • Winbirri Vineyards Norfolk English Rose ?.?% A delicate dry rosé with a refreshing palate. 90% Madeleine Angevine, 10% Rondo.
  • Regent ?.?% A delicate red with redcurrant and vanilla flavours. Oak aged for 6 months. 100% Regent.
  • Reserve ?.?% A full bodied juicy red with deep cherry colour. Rich spice and vanilla on the nose. Aged for 12 months in oak. 100% Rondo.
  • Seyval Blanc ?.?% A well-balanced dry white, with intense aromatic aromas and an elegant crisp finish. 100% Seyval Blanc.
