Volunteering

The Cambridge Beer Festival needs you!

The festival is run entirely by unpaid volunteers. They come from all walks of life and give up their valuable time to make the event a success. The festival doesn’t happen without volunteers. We need several hundred across the week we’re open. Many volunteers also help to set up before the event and take it down again afterwards.

Can you give us a hand? Even if you can only spend a few hours serving customers at the bar, your time will be greatly appreciated. And you’ll be made really welcome. It’s fun, you’ll make new friends, and get to try the fantastic beer, cider, mead and wine we have in store this year.

Almost anyone can serve customers at the festival. We provide all the training you need on the day. You don’t need to be a CAMRA member. You don’t need extensive knowledge of beer. You just need to be enthusiastic and willing to join in.

Thank you to everyone who has helped us in the past – you are amazing! Please do volunteer again, we’d love to see you.

How to volunteer

  • Your first time? Thanks for joining us! Please complete the volunteering form. You may not hear back from us immediately, but rest assured we do want you to come.
  • Volunteered for us before? Welcome back! We would still like you to complete the volunteering form, even if you are a regular.
  • You must be over the age of 18 years to volunteer at the festival. We may require proof of age.
