Public Transport to the Festival

The Festival Site (Google Map) area is well serviced by public transport, there are several 'Citi' bus services, which can operate up to once every 10 minutes. Cambridge has direct services from Royston, Huntingdon, Ely, Newmarket and Soham.

Cambridge has good train services from London, Norwich, Ipswich, Peterborough, Midlands and the North of England.

Real Time Passenger Information

Cambridge Country Council has started the roll out of a Real Time Passenger Information service. The majority of bus services in Cambridge now provide this. Some bus stops now have real time Information displays. Information for the majority of stops in Cambridge is available via the internet.

Cambridge Country Council also provides timetable information by text to your mobile. You’ll need the bus stop code, for example CMBDADAP, which can be found on many bus stop flags, or by phoning Traveline on 0871 200 22 33. Then text the 8 letter bus stop code to 85007 (texts cost 25p plus normal text message charge). Should you require timetable information for a specific service, simply add the service number to the end of the bus stop code, for example 'CMBDADAP 7'.

The 8 letter bus stop code is shown next to each of the stops listed below, which is also the link to the Real Time Bus Information via the internet. The Real Time Bus Information is shown either in real time in minutes, for example 6 mins; or timetable format in 24 hr clock, for example 11:06.

Walking direction to the festival site When you alight the bus, walk along Chesterton Road, to wards the zebra crossing. When you get to the zebra crossing, turn left and cross the river on the foot bridge. When you get across the river, there are 4 foot paths, take the one furthest around to your left. After a short while on your left you will see a Skate Park and the festival site beyond the Skate Park.

Walking directions to the festival site When you alight the bus, walk back along Chesterton Road, to wards the zebra crossing. Cross Chesterton Road, via the zebra crossing. Continue straight on and cross the river on the foot bridge. When you get across the river, there are 4 foot paths, take the one on your left, between the house and the toilet block. After a short while on your left you will see a Skate Park and the festival site beyond the Skate Park.

Continue past the traffic lights, to the junction with Victoria Road Turn right to cross to the traffic island via the Pelican Crossing. Turn Left to the Pelican Crossing. Cross to the Jolly Waterman pub via the Pelican Crossing. Turn left into Victoria Avenue. Walk over the river via the Victoria Avenue road bridge. When you get across the river, on your right you will see the festival site. Continue walking along Victoria Avenue, to wards the Pelican crossing. Just before the Pelican crossing on your right is the access gate to Jesus Green. The festival entrance is the second entrance on your right into the festival site.

At the end of Round Church Street, turn left into Park Street. Then take the 1st Right turn into Lower Park Street. At the end of Lower Park Street, continue straight on into Jesus Green. After the gentle right hand bend, you will see the Festival Site ahead. The Festival Site entrance is ahead and to the left.

Take the first right turn into New Park Street. Then take the 2nd Left turn into Lower Park Street. At the end of Lower Park Street, continue straight on into Jesus Green. After the gentle right hand bend, you will see the Festival Site ahead. The Festival Site entrance is ahead and to the left.

Buses from the Railway station to the Festival Site

The Citi1 and Citi7 stop at the railway station and pass the festival site. When exiting the railway station, got to the bus stops on your RIGHT. If you get a Citi1 as ask the driver to tell you when you get to the "Carlye Road" stop. If you get a Citi7 as ask the driver to tell you when you get to the "Chesterton Road" stop. Then follow the walking directions as detailed above.
