Cambridge & District CAMRA 37th Cambridge Beer Festival
Thanks to all of you who volunteered and all our customers. We are very proud of our festival, we put a lot of time and effort into making it the best in the country. Once again, around 32,000 of you came to the festival over the week, despite the rain on Wednesday & Saturday.
The theme this year was Hobson's Choice and Hobson's Conduit to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the building of Hobson's Conduit here in Cambridge.
The Cambridge Beer Festival has traditionally welcomed volunteers from across the United Kingdom (Stockport, Wales, Reading, Croydon to name but a few). However, we have noticed that an increasing number of volunteers are from across the globe. This year, we have had volunteers from Sweden, Span, Germany, Netherlands, France, Australia, Canada, Japan and San Francisco USA and possibly a few other locations !!! Thus making the Cambridge Beer Festival a truly international festival. However, we were still short of volunteers on several evenings of the week. We would just like to thank all those that helped "pitch in" when we had to ask for extra help, we hoped you enjoyed yourself and will be back again next year.
In the mean time, we look forward to seeing some of you again at the 4th Cambridge Octoberfest.
The votes for beer, cider, perry and cheese of the festival have now been counted.
